American veterans, archaeological dig

Hello,

I'm a former USAF Aircraft Maintenance Officer, now running a 501c3 called American Veterans Archaeological Recovery (AVAR).  We place disabled vets, most of whom have anxiety disorders, onto archaeology digs so they can build strong support groups and recapture a sense of adventure. We have research that shows this helps, and our participants have told us this program has taken them from sitting on the couch all day doing nothing to starting new jobs, new degrees, even completing rehab in one case.

We recently received funding from National Geographic to place 20 disabled vets on a dig near Albany, NY from May 22 - June 3, 2018.  Food, accommodation, and training are FREE if they can get themselves to the dig site!
